I was still clinging to the hopes that the old players who set all the
records we're breaking today did it completely legit.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2052364

I guess not. While it doesn't look like it was wide-spread, it's still
sad to think that there's an outside chance that even the greats were raged
up on 'roids. :(

This is why I was always a football and basketball fan. Even though I'm
sure steroids have been used widely in both sports, I tend to think it has
been less rampant than baseball, where it's so much tougher to become a
big-league player. In baseball you could get drafted and spend a decade in
the minors before even playing a major league game (if at all), whereas in
football, you're usually either on an NFL team or you play on NBC on
Saturdays in an arena... and probably retire after you realize that game
sucks. Or I guess you could be thrown over the pond and play in the NFLE
but that's still not quite as deep of a farm-system that the MLB has.

Fuck it, let em juice.  I'm looking forward to the day when the Yankees pay
surrogate mothers to carry their genetically engineered shortstop of the future.
