How do the ultra-high stakes players make a living?  We always hear about the
same guys in Vegas (Doyle, Chip, Greenstein, Daniel N, etc) being involved in
the huge games, but how do they all end up being winning players?  Are there
really THAT many rich suckers who stray into these games and lose?  Perhaps its
just naive of me to think that there aren't people out there who can afford to
stroll into a 1,000-2,000 game on a whim, but it blows my mind to think that
there are enough of them playing on a regular basis to keep the pros in the
black.  Basically, what I'm asking is, if the same players are winning players
in the same game, then where does the money come from?

I was in the Bellagio room last night.  Doyle was in a game with Eli Elezra and
5 other guys who I had never seen or heard of before.  There were many chips out
there of colors that I never play with.   There are hundreds and hundreds of
people who want to lose their money to Doyle, Phil, et al. just like there are
thousands who like to blow their dough at Steve Wynn's joint, MGM, Caesar's,
etc. playing big stakes baccarat, BJ, craps . . .

At least if Doyle beats you you can say "I played poker with Doyle."  When Mikey
the craps dealer takes your money, who gives a $%^&?
