Hello:

Going back to Vegas in about a month and was wondering if there was
any new trends developing out there. Any new variations on betting? Or
is it the same ol, same ol? Where are the cheap tables? (Been to El
Cortez but any others?)

Anything else new going on besides craps?

Thanks,

Bob

Some of the casinos, Harrahs for one has a "Fire Bet". I suspect if you do
a googol search you can find out what that is.

A fire bet goes SOMETHING like this---if you roll eight numbers, you
win something if you make that bet---sucker.

Bob---

The newest thing I can think of, which probably does not apply to you
if you frequent El Cortez, is that some of the strip casinos no longer
count your placed 6 or 8 in your average bet totals.

Well I don't frequent El Cortez much, which is why I asked about other
casinos with cheap crap games, maybe somewhere besides downtown.

I am not a high roller so I may look around for some other games to
play as well.

Still, nothing beats the atmosphere of a good craps game when the
table is hot, the drinks are flowin' and the conversation is cheap!

I was there last weekend. I played the usual place, Casino Royale. They
still have a $2 table with 100X odds, no heat for setting dice and the
rudest dealers on the strip.

I played the Boardwalk once. $3 mins but they bitched the first time I set
the dice so I left after I sevened out. I can't recall the odds offered
but it wasn't 100X.

Too many new table games for me to keep up with. Luckily, I don't play
them. Lots of new construction since I was there last too. The Wynn was a
vacant lot. And I was saddened to see that Nick's Oyster Bar and Pizza has
been turned into a Chinese restaurant.

What? Doc -- where is this? That's horrible. Why would they not include
those bets in your total, but count your passline bet? Basically the same
house percentage.

I would immediately run from these casinos?
