Note: only 3 games where they held opponents
to LESS than the typical 5.0 rpg avg
and only ONE of 6 road games.
Now they meet an opponent who is playing
at or near the same level as their previous
road opponents (BOS/Balt)
Toronto is 9-6, having compiled most of that
on the road!
Yanks are 1-5 on the road and tonight they
put PAVANO on the mound...in 3 outings (14.0 ip)
he's allowed a whopping 23 on base and 3 homers,
although he was very good for FLORIDA last year
particularly on the road...Nevertheless, different
team, different environment...
The YANKS 5.29 rpg is inflated by their 19 run
outing vs the lowly DevilRays. Without that one
game SKEWING their early season stats, they avg
only 4.23 rpg...Toronto averages 5.5 rpg, though
higher than that at home... |
