In his 2 starts, both vs the decent bats
of the Yankees, lefty BRUCE CHEN has pitched
15 innings, but only allowed 13 on base!!!
He'll face another challenge against BOSTON.
He had a very good record in his 8 apearances
with Baltimore last year...
Meanwhile, David Wells pitched well AT HOME
against the lowly DevilRays...no surprise there.
But against two decent batting teams,
both ON THE ROAD (such as tonight) D.Wells
pitched 10.66 innings but allowed a WHOPPING
20 men on base and 3 homers!
Now he faces the GOOD BATS of the Orioles and
they have been hitting LEFTIES even better
than RIGHTIES...
Wells, who had a GOOD year last year in San Diego
(excellent on the road) is about to turn 41...
No play on the HIGH total for me but
I gotta take the Baltimorioles here AT HOME
for a cheap price, as I figure they are at least
as good at the plate as the RedStockings right now,
if not better, since so far the SOX bats have
fared poorly against LEFTIES, batting only .235
Will check the lineups FIRST before making a play |
