I just got a subscription to the archives and I think its really going to help
my again, and its also entertaining.
Anyways, I'm sure some on here have seen it, and I was wondering what you guys
think of Moe's play. (He usually sits in seat nine probably in his forties or
fifties and plays the 500 minimum NL game). According to one of the announcers,
he plays for a living, and even before he said that I've been very impressed
with his play.
An example of a play I have seen him do a couple of times that really impressed
me is when he has the second pair on the flop (in a decent sized pot), the pot
gets checked around, and on the turn he goes all in. Its like he knows the other
players are only on draws, how I have no idea. I mean with as much slowplaying
that's done, I don't know how he can make a play like that. I never would dare
to make an all in move on that weak of a hand, and because of that I get drawn
out on when I neednt be sometimes.
Anyways, if anyones familiar with him, it would be nice if we could discuss his
play, what he does good/bad and whether you think this style would be affective
online. Or, perhaps anything else you may want to mention about the show.
I have no affiliation with them, but I would highly reccomend cash game players
check out the show, as I think the commentary is excellent.

You can find their site at http://www.thebike.com/. The webcast is from 6-10pm
pacific time (3hours behind EST). This is free. The archives charge I believe
12.95 a month. If you sign up and just want a one month subscription be sure to
email them and let them know, as I was just talking to them yesterday and
apparently they autorenew on your card each month.
Enjoy,
David

yea, Moe seems to be a pretty good player overall and his reads are usually
pretty accurate........Moe also must like the food at the Bike pretty well
because just about every time i watch hes scarfin down............did see Moe
make a bad read the other day when he lost a big pot to Fat Boys quad
queens......also, Fat Boy had quads twice within 4 hands, so thats proof that
live play is rigged too

Ah I missed that one....was that when Moe was playing in the 200 NL Game? He
didnt seem to take that game very seriously when I saw him playing it.
As far as live play, based on my own experiences it seems like I have gotten
sucked out on live just as much as online. However, I play a good deal more
online than live. Based on what I have seen on Live at the Bike, it seems the
favorite hands hold up a bit more often than online. However, I agree with you,
I have seen some strange stuff on there too, like one guy getting pocket Aces
three times within five hands. I think the nature of poker is that you'll see
some really strange things occur if you watch/play it enough.
