So many good people have left this group. {could be because of me. But I
wouldn't bet on it. Because I'm not that important, and don't know sh=t.
And most of the ones that are gone,I agreed with, at least in
principal.} About 5 years ago. Someone called Captin craps, showed up.
Who clamed he had a method to win.The same powers that be today, Jumped
in his ass with both feet. He quit posting. I. ask him why,and said I
would be glad to listen to anything he had to say. He did one of the
smartest things that has ever been done on this board. He agreed to talk
to me only.Which ment we were the only ones talking. When the Nay sayers
posted they were ignored. What ever the cause. It didn't work
out.But,the principle is still the same. Like minded people on the ng.
can still talk to each other. If they will just ignore the other
group.You could even put in the heading of your post. Just call yourself
group 2. And put it at the end of your post.
Example:{Martingales,DI,Charting tables,Catching the trend.} People of
intrest will follow. Ignore the invaders. Soon they will give up. And
every body try to help the neewbys.Just remember to stay with the
neewby. Give what advice you have and move on. Don't get caught up in
the wars.If somebody from the other side has something to say that makes
sence. Let him in. I think 90% of you have me on your kill file. So this
will be my last post.

Does Web TV still work?
Why does it still work?
Hasn't it gotten a virus yet?
Isn't it too damn slow for most TV sets by now?
Will Web TV go Hi-Def?
Can you get Dolby Surround Sound with it?
What if somebody spills Kool-Aid on the keyboard? That keyboard ain't
replaceable now is it?
Is there enough Visine in the World for viewers of that TV set way over there?
Every e-mail gets erased sometime, eh? |

The newbies are not being helped when credence is given to
such tomfoolery as dice control and table charting. They
are being misled.
Those theories would be very easy to prove if they existed,
they they haven't been. Why do you think that is?

Golly, I've missed alot!
Maybe this will be my summer of craps. At least one game a week,
starting in June, ending in August. Start with a set amount of money and
let the chips fly! That would be fun. Spring is in the air and
everything seems like a good idea.

So, according to you, what should the people who disagreed with
"Captain Crap" have done? Should people who know better sit by and let
some liar and/or fool mislead people?

A concise and accurate refutation of why discussions of the benefits of
precision shooting, charting, and other controversial topics should be
left to their proponents. Arguments like, "This system wins 84% of the
time," are persuasive on the surface; IMHO it is important for veteran
players to point out that frequency of wins, which can be achieved by
even the simplest of losing progressions, does not translate to overall
profits. Similarly, the claimed benefits of precision shooting and
charting are can blind even an experienced punter to the absence of any
credible evidence for their existence.
Holders of pet theories don't like having their parade rained on,
particularly when those theories appear to be in danger of being washed
away, so they retreat to mailing lists and other private forums where
they can preach to choir without any interference. Such hermetically
sealed environments do not provide information.

It is human nature to need something to believe in. If some man comes along
with a better mouse and it is not I can only point it out to him. If he
continues to believe its a better mouse trap and he is happy than who am I
to take his pleasure? If someone has a system to craps than they sure wont
be tellin anyone. They would have broken the game and spent the rest of
their time takin down the crap house.
